Materials: 

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn

  • 75 Yards White
  • 250 Yards Green

Yarn needle

Gauge:

7 stitches = 2 inches 

Difficulty:

Intermediate 

Stitches: 

Ch: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop. 

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook. 

SC: Single crochet – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

HDC: Half double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

DC: Double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Special Stitches:

Sc2tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

V-stitch: Dc. Ch 1. Dc.

Instructions:

Toe (Accent Color) 

Magic Ring

Round 1: Ch 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2: Ch 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Ch 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * a total of 8 x’s.. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Round 6 – 10: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Body (Main Color): 

Round 11: Ch 4 (counts as first Dc and Ch 1 space). Dc in the same stitch, Skip 2. *V-stitch. Skip 2. * Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (16 V-stitches)

Round 12: SS into the Ch 1 space. Ch 4 (counts as first Dc and Ch 1 space). Dc in the same stitch. V-stitch in each Ch 1 space around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (16 V-stitches)

Round 13 – 21.  Repeat Round 12. 

Heel (Accent Color): 

Row 1: Ch 1. Sc in the next 16 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 12 stitches. Sc2tog. (14)

Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 10 stitches. Sc2tog. (12)

Row 4: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 8 stitches. Sc2tog. (10)

Row 5: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 6 stitches. Sc2tog. (8)

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Sc2tog. (6)

Row 7: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 4 stitches. 2 Sc. (8)

Row 8: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 6 stitches. 2 Sc. (10)

Row 9: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 8 stitches. 2 Sc. (12)

Finish off leaving semi-long tail. (This tail will be used to sew half of the heel closed)

Body (Main Color):

Join with a SS to the 17th stitch of round 21 of the body. 

Round 22: Ch 4 (counts as first Dc and Ch 1 space). Dc in the same stitch. *V-stitch in each Ch 1 space around. (Working across the 16 sts of heel) Sk 1 stitch, *V-stitch in the next stitch, sk 2 sts,* repeat across. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (16 V-stitches)

Round 23: SS into the Ch 1 space. Ch 4 (counts as first Dc and Ch 1 space). Dc in the same stitch. V-stitch in each Ch 1 space around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (16 V-stitches)

Round 24 – 35: Repeat round 23. 

Cuff (Accent Color):

Round 36: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 37 – 41: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Finish off. Sew Heel.
