Stitches:

Chain (Ch)- Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Slip stitch (SS)- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Single crochet (Sc)- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Half Double Crochet (Hdc)- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over.  Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 3 loops.

Double crochet (Dc)- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Special Stitches:

V-Stitch- (Dc. Chain 1. Dc.) in the same stitch.

Notes:

  • Turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. And when working in the round, be sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as join.

Round 1: Chain 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2: Chain 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Chain 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Chain 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (50)

Round 6: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 4 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (60)

Round 7: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 5 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (70)

Round 8: Chain 1. *Sc in the next 5 stitches. Chain 2. Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 9: SS into the next stitch. Chain 1. *Sc in the next 3 stitches. Chain 1. V-stitch in the chain 2 space. Chain 1. Skip the next Sc* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc.

Round 10: SS into the next stitch. Chain 1. *Sc. Chain 1. 5Dc in the next V-stitch. Chain 1. Skip the chain space and the next Sc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a  SS to the first Sc made.

Round 11: SS in to the chain 1 space and into the next Dc. Chain 1. *Sc across the next 5 stitches. Chain 2. Skip the 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 12: SS into the next stitch. Chain 1. *Sc in the next 3 stitches. Chain 1. V-stitch into the next Chain 2 Space. Chain 1. Skip the next Sc.* repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 13 – 21: Repeat 10 – 12 ending in Round 11

Round 22: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (70)
