Materials: 

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn

  • 180 Yards Green
  • 75 Yards White

Yarn needle

Gauge:

7 stitches = 2 inches

Stitches: 

Ch: Ch – Yarn over pull through one loop. 

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook. 

Sc: Single crochet – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Hdc: Half double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

Dc: Double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Special Stitches: 

Sc2tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Round 1: Ch 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10) 

Round 2: Ch 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20) 

Round 3: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30) 

Round 4: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (50)

Body (Main Color): 

Round 11: Ch 3 (counts s first DC). *Skip the next 3 stitches. Make 3 Dc in the next stitch. Ch 3. Working backwards work 3 DC in the second skipped stitch. Skip the next unworked stitch. Dc in the next stitch.* Repeat from * to *  until 4 stitches remain. Skip the next 3 stitches. Make 3 Dc in the next stitch. Ch 3. Working backwards work 3Dc in the second skipped stitch. Skip the next unworked stitch. Join with a SS to the third ch of the beginning Ch. (9 textured fans)
