Materials:

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn

     • 75 Yards White

     • 100 Yards Green

     • 100 Yards Red 

Yarn needle

Gauge:

7 stitches = 2 inches 

Difficulty:

Intermediate 

Stitches:

Ch: Chain – Yarn over pull through one loop. 

SS: Slip stitch – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook. 

Sc: Single crochet – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Hdc: Half double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

Dc: Double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Special Stitches:

Sc2tog: Single Crochet 2 Together – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Drop Dc: Drop Double Crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch of row and stitch indicated. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Notes:

This pattern is made working in rounds. Don’t forget to work in the same stitch as the slip stitch to start each round.

Instructions:

Toe (Accent Color) 

Magic Ring

Round 1: Ch 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2: Ch 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Ch 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * a total of 8 x’s. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Round 6 – 10: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Body:

Change Color B 

Round 11: Ch 1. *Sc. Ch 1. Skip the next stitch. Sc. Ch 5. Skip the next 5 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 12: SS into the Ch 1 space. Ch 3. *9Dc in the Ch 1 space. Ch 1.* Repeat from * to * in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 13: SS into the next 2 stitches. Change Colors C. Ch 1. *BPSC around the next 5 stitches. (these should be the center 5 stitches of the 9 shell). [Drop Dc. Ch 1. Crop Dc] (Drop Double crochet is worked in 3rd skipped stitch of 5 from round 11.) Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first BPSC made.

Round 14: SS into the next 2 stitches. Ch 1. *Sc. Skip the next 2 stitches. 9Dc in the next  Ch 1 space. Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to thes first Sc made.

Round 15: SS into the next 2 stitches.Change Color B Ch 1. *BPSC around the next 5 stitches. (these should be the center 5 stitches of the 9 shell). [Drop Dc. Ch 1. Drop Dc] (Drop Double crochet is worked in 3rd stitch of 5 from previous round) Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first BPSC made.

Round 16: SS into the next 2 stitches. Ch 1. *Sc. Skip the next 2 stitches. 9Dc in the next  Ch 1 space. Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to thes first Sc made.

Round 17 – 22: Repeat Rounds 15 – 16. 

Heel (Color A):

Row 1: Ch 1. Sc in the next 18 Dc stitches.

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 12 stitches. Sc2tog. (16)

Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 10 stitches. Sc2tog. (14)

Row 4: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 8 stitches. Sc2tog. (12)

Row 5: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 6 stitches. Sc2tog. (10)

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Sc2tog. (8

Row 7: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 4 stitches. 2 Sc. (10)

Row 8: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 6 stitches. 2 Sc. (12)

Row 9: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 8 stitches. 2 Sc. (14)

Row 10: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 10 stitches. 2 Sc. (16)

Row 11: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 12 stitches. 2 Sc. (18) 

Finish off leaving semi-long tail. (This tail will be used to sew half of the heel closed)

Change Color B 

Row 23: Join with a SS to the 3rd Dc of the 9 shell of row 15. Ch 1. *BPSC around the next 5 stitches. (these should be the center 5 stitches of the 9 shell). [Drop Dc. Ch 1. Drop Dc] (Drop Double crochet is worked in 3rd skipped stitch of 5 from shell below) Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around.  To heel. Skip 1 stitch of heel. Sc in the next 5 stitches. Skip 1 stitch. Sc. Ch 2. Skip 2. Sc. Skip 1. Sc in the next 5 stitches. Skip the last stitch of heel. [Drop Dc. Ch 1. Drop Dc.] Join with a SS to the first BPSC made.

Row 24: SS into the next 2 stitches. Ch 1. *Sc. Skip the next 2 stitches. 9Dc in the next  Ch 1 space. Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to thes first Sc made.

Row 25 – 38: Repeat Rounds 15 – 16. 

Cuff: (Color A) 

Round 39: Ch 1. *Hdc in the next 2 stitches. Skip 1. BPSC around the next 5 stitches (these should be the middle of the 9 shell) Skip 1. Hdc in the next stitch.*  repeat around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc. 

Round 40 – 44:   Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. 

Finish off. Weave ends. Sew heel closed.
