Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn

  • 75 yards white 

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook

Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

Sc: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Hdc: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

Dc: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

FPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the front to back and around stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

BPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the stitch front back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches:

Beginning Crossed Dc: Dc in the first stitch. Ch 2. Work backwards and Dc in the previous stitch. (This will be worked in the last stitch of the previous round.)

Crossed Dc: Skip the next stitch. Dc. Ch 2. Dc in the skipped stitch.

Puff stitch: (Yarn over. Draw up loop.) x’s 3. Yarn over. Draw through all 7 loops.

Sc2Tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Round 1: Ch 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10) 

Round 2: Ch 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20) 

Round 3: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30) 

Round 4: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (50) 

Round 6: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (51)

Round 7- 10: Ch 1, Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (51)

Body: (Main Color)

Round 11: Ch 2. *(Dc. Ch 2. Dc.) in the next stitch. Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (16 V-stitches)

Round 12: Ch 1. *FpDc around the next stitch. Puff in the next Ch 2 space.  Ch 1. FpDc around the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 13: Ch 1. Beginning Crossed FpDc. Skip the next puff and Dc. *Crossed FpDc. Skip the next puff and Dc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 14: Ch 1. *FpDc around the next stitch. Puff in the next Ch 2 space.  Ch 1. FpDc around the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 15 – 24: Repeat rounds 13 – 14. Ending with round 13. 

Heel (Accemt Color) 

Row 1: Join with SS into the next stitch. Sc in the same stitch. *2 sc on the next Ch space. Sc in the next st*  repeat 4 more times. (16sc) 

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 12 stitches. Sc2tog. (14) 

Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 10 stitches. Sc2tog. (12) 

Row 4: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 8 stitches. Sc2tog. (10) 

Row 5: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 6 stitches. Sc2tog. (8) 

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Sc2tog. (6) 

Row 7: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 4 stitches. 2 Sc. (8)

Round 25: Join with a SS to the second stitch of heel. Beginning Crossed FpDc. (This worked using stitches from round 24.) now working across heel stitches. Skip 3 stitches. *Crossed Dc. Skip 3 stitches.* repeat from * to * 3 times.  Now working across remaining stitches of round 24. *Crossed FpDc. Skip the next puff and Dc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first FpDc made.

Round 26: Ch 1. *FpDc around the next stitch. Puff in the next Ch 2 space.  Ch 1. FpDc around the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 27: Ch 1. Beginning Crossed FpDc. Skip the next puff and Dc. *Crossed FpDc. Skip the next puff and Dc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 28: Ch 1. *FpDc around the next stitch. Puff in the next Ch 2 space.  Ch 1. FpDc around the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. 

Round 29 – 43: Repeat rounds 27 – 28. Ending with round 27. 

Cuff: (Main Color) 

Round 44: Ch 1. *Hdc in the next Dc stitch. Hdc in the Ch 1 space. Hdc in the next Dc.* Repeat from * to * around Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. ( 48 Hdc) 

Round 45 – 49: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around.  (51 Hdc) 

Fasten Off. Weave ends. Sew up heel.
