Materials: 

H 5.0mm Crochet Hook 

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn

  • 200 Yards Red
  • 75 Yards White

Yarn needle

Gauge: 

7 stitches = 2 inches

Stitches: 

Ch: Chain – Yarn over pull through one loop. 

SS: Slip stitch – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook. 

Sc: Single crochet – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Hdc: Half double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

Dc: Double crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Fpdc: Front Post Double Crochet – Yarn over. Insert hook around the front to back and around stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches:

Sc2tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Dc2tog: Double Crochet 2 Together – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Draw through all loops on hook.

Toe (Accent Color) – H hook 

Magic Ring

Round 1: Ch 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2: Ch 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Ch 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * a total of 8 x’s. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Round 6 – 10: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Body (Main Color): I hook 

Round 11: Ch 2. *(Dc. Ch 2. Dc.) in the next stitch. Skip the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (12 V-stitches.)

Round 12: SS into the next Ch 2 space. Ch 2. *(3Dc. Ch 1. 3Dc.) in the next Ch 2 space. Fpdc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (6 Shells + 6 Fpdc2tog)

Round 13: SS into the next 2 Dc and Ch 1 space. Ch 5. Dc in the same stitch (First V-stitch made). (Dc. Ch 2. Dc.) in the next Fpdc2tog. *(Dc. Ch 2. Dc.) in the next  Ch 1 space. (Dc. Ch 2. Dc.) in the next Fpdc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (12 V-stitches.)

Heel (Accent Color): H Hook

Row 1: Ch 1. Sc in the next 16 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 12 stitches. Sc2tog. (14)

Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 10 stitches. Sc2tog. (12)

Row 4: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 8 stitches. Sc2tog. (10)

Row 5: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 6 stitches. Sc2tog. (8)

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Sc2tog. (6)

Round 22: Ch 2. (3Dc. Ch 1. 3Dc.) in the next stitch. Skip 2 stitches.  Work a Dc2tog over the next 3 stitches. Skip 2 stitches. (3Dc. Ch 1. 3Dc.) in the next stitch. Skip 2 stitches. Work a Dc2tog Over the next 3 stitches. Skip last stitch. *(3Dc. Ch 1. 3Dc.)  in the next Ch 2 space. Fpdc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 23: SS into the next 2 Dc and Ch 1 space. Ch 5. Dc in the same stitch. (Dc. Ch2. Dc) in the next Fpdc2tog. *(Dc. Ch 2. Dc.) in the next Ch 1 space. (Dc. Ch2. Dc) in the next Fpdc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (12 V-stitches.)
