Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

FPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the front to back and around stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

BPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the stitch front back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches:

Drop Dc (Drop Double Crochet): Yarn over. Insert hook into skipped stitch from previous round. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Bobble: (Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch.Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.) 5 x’s.. Yarn over. Pull through all 6 loops on the hook.

V-stitch:  Double crochet. Chain 2. Double crochet.

Drop V-stitch: Yarn over. Insert hook into skipped stitch from previous round. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through 2 loops. Yarn over pull through 2 loops. Chain 2. Yarn over. Insert hook in skipped stitch from previous round. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through 2 loops. Yarn over pull through 2 loops.

Notes:

• Turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. And when working in the round, be sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as join.
• For SOME rounds you will turn other rounds you will not! Pay CLOSE attention.
• All images shown are taken to show the RIGHT SIDE of your work.
• At the beginning of each row, it will tell you which side should be facing you.

RS Round 2: Chain 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (16)

WS Round 3: Chain 2 and TURN. *Bobble. Chain 4. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Bobble made. (8 boobles + 8 chain 4 spaces.)

RS Round 4: Chain 1 and TURN. *Drop V-stitch (see special stitches.) In the skipped stitch on round 2. Sc in the next bobble stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

WS Round 5: Chain 1 and TURN. *Sc in the next Sc. 5Dc in the next chain 2 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (8 5Dc Shells + 8 Sc.)

WS Round 6: SS into the next Dc. Chain 1. *FPSC around the next 3 stitches. Skip the next stitch. 5Dc in the next Sc. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first SC made. (8 5Dc Shells + 8 sets of 3FPSC)

RS Round 7: Chain 1 and TURN. *BPHDC around the next 5Dc. Skip the next stitch. (3Tr. Chain 2. 3Tr) in the next stitch and center of Dc shell from round 5. Skip the next stitch. BPHDC around the next 5DC. Dc in the next stitch and center of Dc shell from round 5.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first BPHDC made.

WS Round 8: Chain 1 and TURN. *Hdc in the next 6 stitches. FPDC around the next 3 stitches. (Hdc. Chain 2. Hdc.) In the next chain 2 space. FPDC around the next 3 stitches. Hdc in the next 5 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.
