SS: (Slip Stitch) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Ch: (Chain) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Sc: (Single Crochet) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Hdc: (Half Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over.  Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 3 loops.

Special Stitches:

Hdc3tog: (Half Double Crochet 3 Together)  – *Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. * Repeat from * to * a total of 3 times. Yarn over pull through all loops on the hook.

Extended Sc5tog: *Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through one stitch.* Repeat from * to * until 6 stitch are on hook. Yarn over. Pull through all remaining loops.

Round 1: Chain 1. Sc 7. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (7)

Round 2: Chain 1. 2Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (14)

Round 3: Chain 1. *2Sc. Sc.* Repeat from * to * all the way around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (21)

Round 4: Chain 1. *2Sc. Sc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * all the way around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (28)

Round 5: Chain 1. *2Sc. Sc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * all the way around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (35)

Round 23: Chain 1. Sc in the next 25 stitches. Chain 20. Skip the next 20 stitch. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 25 – 42: Repeat Round 9-10.

Round 43: Chain 1. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 44 – 49: Chain 1. Hdc in the third loop around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 50: Chain 1. Sc in the third loop around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Finish Off. Weace in ends.

Heel

*NOTE: For the heel you will be working in the round. The stitches that you will be working in will be, the 20 skipped stitches and the 20 chains from from round 23. Also the sides of the Sc’s on rounds 23. giving you 42 total stitches to work in. (It might not make sense now but, once you start working in the round you will understand.)*

Join with a SS to the third stitch that was skipped in round 23.

Round 1: Chain 1. Sc in same stitch and the next 15 stitches. Sc5tog. (This will include 2 stitches, side of the Sc on round 23 and the first 2 chains.) Sc in the next 16 stitches. Sc5tog. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 2: SS into the second and third stitch. (this will ensure that the Sc5tog is centered.) Chain 1. Sc in same stitch and the next 11 stitches. Sc5tog. Sc in the next 12 Stitches. Sc5tog.  Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 3: SS into the second and third stitch. Chain 1. Sc in the same stitch and the next 7 stitches. Sc5tog. Sc in the next 8 stitches. Sc5tog. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 4: SS into the second and third stitch. Chain 1. Sc in the same stitch and the next 3 stitches. Extended Sc5tog. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Extended Sc5tog. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew shut the hole!
