I’m a stay-at-home mom who loves beauty, and creativity in its many forms. Life is full of inspiration, from music, out-of-the-way restaurants, and feel-good movies, to a sweet child curled up under one arm. Inspiration also comes from a myriad of moments that are less tangible: time spent with loved ones, the smell of flowers, and the clean air after a rainstorm. I could keep going, but think you get the drift. It is through these inspirations that the patterns on this site come about.
When I was 9 years old my mother taught me to crochet and I spent many happy hours creating scarves and granny squares for the next few years. After setting crochet aside for close to 20 years, I picked it back up in early 2014 as a way to make some money and relieve stress. I quickly realized crocheting the same thing over and over again was not my passion, but it took me until late 2016 to officially move into pattern design and set up this site.
With the incredible amount of crochet patterns that primarily use large swaths of double crochet or single crochet available, I wanted to offer patterns that were unique and a bit different–not that you won’t find a few patterns here that use primarily one or two stitches, but for the most part I have tried to heap loads of texture, and creative ways of using the basic stitches to create beautiful designs you’ll come back to over and over again.
