I 5.50mm Crochet Hook

Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn (Approx 200 yards)

Stitches:

SS: (Slip Stitch) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Ch: (Chain) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Sc: (Single Crochet) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Hdc: (Half Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over.  Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 3 loops.

Dc: (Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Instructions:

Magic Ring

Round 1: Chain 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2 Chain 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Chain 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Chain 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (50)

Round 6: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 4 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (60)

Round 7: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 5 stitches.* Repeat from * to * 4 times. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (64)

Round 8: Chain 1. *Sc. Skip the next 3 stitches. 9Dc in the next stitch. Skip the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 9: SS in to the next 5 stitches. (This will put you at the 5th stitch of the 9 shell) Chain 1. *Sc (Will also be placed in that 5th of 9 stitch.). Chain 3. Dc9tog. Chain 3.*  Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 10: Chain 1. *Sc. Work 9Dc directly on top of the Dc9tog from previous round. Skip the next chain space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 11: Repeat round 9.

Round 12: Repeat round 10.

Round 13: Repeat round 9.

Round 14: Chain 1. *Sc in the next Sc. 3Sc in the next chain 3 space. Sc in Dc9tog. 3Sc in the next chain 3 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 15: Chain 2. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 16 – 19: Chain 2 Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Finish off. Weave in ends.
