Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn (Approx 200 yards)

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three stitches.

*Note: Turning Chain does not count as a stitch so don’t forget to work in the same stitch as join!*

Magic Ring

Round 1: Chain 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2 Chain 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Chain 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Chain 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (50)

Round 6: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 4 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (60)

Round 7: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 5 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (70)

Round 8: Chain 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 6 stitches.* Repeat from * to * a total of 2 times. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (72)

Round 9: Chain 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (72)

Round 10: Chain 1. *Sc. Skip the next 3 stitches. 9Dc in the next stitch. Skip the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 11: SS in to the next 5 stitches. (This will put you at the 5th stitch of the 9 shell) Chain 1. *Sc (Will also be placed in that 5th of 9 stitch.). Chain 3. Dc9tog. Chain 3.*  Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 12: Chain 1. *Sc. Work 9Dc directly on top of the Dc9tog from previous round. Skip the next chain space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 13: Repeat round 11.
