This Gemstone Lace Market Bag isn’t lined, I just stuffed my Teddy Bear Pillow Crochet Pattern into it so you could see the stitches better! But, you can always line it if you want! Unfortunately, my skills end at crocheting!

Worsted Weight Cotton yarn (500 Yards)

J 6.00mm Crochet Hook

Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches:

Sc2Tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Sc3Tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Draw up loop. (4 loops on hook). Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Chain 30

Round 1: 3Dc In 3rd chain from hook and on Dc each chain across until 1 chain remains. 6Dc in the last chain. Dc in each chain across the back side of the chain making 3Dc in the last chain. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (64)

Round 2: Chain 2. 2Dc in the next 3 stitches. Dc in the next 26 stitches. 2Dc in the next 6 stitches. Dc in the next 26 stitches. 2Dc in the last 3 stitches. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (76)

Round 3: Chain 2. Repeat (2Dc. Dc.) 3x’s. Dc in the next 26 stitches. Repeat (2Dc. Dc.) 6x’s. Dc in the next 26 stitches. Repeat (2Dc. Dc.) 3x’s. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (88)

Round 4: Chain 2. Dc in the BLO around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (88)

Round 5 – 7: Chain 2. Dc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (88)

Round 8: *(Sc. Chain 3. Skip the next 2 stitches) a total of 2 times. Sc. Chain 5. skip the next 4 stitches. * Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 9: SS into the next chain. Chain 1. *Sc in the next chain 3 space. Chain 3. Sc in the next chain 3 space. 9Dc in the chain 5 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 27: SS into the next 11 stitches. Chain 1. Sc in the next 29 stitches. Chain 40. Skip the next 15 stitches. Sc in the next 29 stitches. Chain 40. Skip the next 15 stitches. Join to the first Sc made. (58 Sc + 2 chain 40)

Round 28 – 29: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 30: SS into the next 29 stitches. Sc in the next 40 stitches. SS into the next 29 stitches. Sc in the next 40. Join with a SS to the first SS made.

Finish off. Weave in ends.
