SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Puff – *Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. draw up loop* repeat from * to * a total of 3 times. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on hook.

Row 2 – 40: Chain 1. Sc in the BLO across. (10)

Join row 1 to row 40 with a series of SSs.

Round 1: Chain 2. *(3Dc. Chain 1. 3Dc.) in the next row. Chain 1. Skip the next 3 rows. Sc in the next row. Chain 1. Skip the next 3 rows.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 2: SS in the next 2 Dc. Chain 1. *Sc in the chain 1 space of shell. Chain 3. Puff in the next Sc. Chain 3.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 3: Chain 1. *Sc in the next Sc. Chain 1. (3Dc. Chain 1. 3Dc.) directly on top of the next puff stitch. Chain 1.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.
