Materials: 

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn

  •  75 Yards White
  • 200 Yards Red

Yarn needle

Gauge:

7 stitches = 2 inches 

Difficulty:

Intermediate 

Stitches: 

Ch: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop. 

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook. 

Sc: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Hdc: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.

Dc: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. 

Special Stitches:

Sc2tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

DC3TOG: Double Crochet 3 together- (Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.) x’s 3. Yarn over draw through all loops on hook.

Notes:

*This pattern is made working in rounds. Don’t forget to work in the same stitch as slip stitch to start each round.

Toe (Accent Color) 

Magic Ring

Round 1: Ch 1. 10 Hdc. Join with a ss to the first Hdc made. (10)

Round 2: Ch 1. 2Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made (20)

Round 3: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30)

Round 4: Ch 1. *2Hdc. Hdc in the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (40)

Round 5: Ch 1. *2 Hdc. Hdc in the next 3 stitches.* Repeat from * to * a total of 8 x’s.. Hdc around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Round 6-10: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with SS to the first Hdc made. (48)

Body (Main Color): 

Round 11 –20: Ch 2. *Dc in the next stitch. Dc3tog around the post of the Dc. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (24 dc, 24 dc3tog stitches) 

Heel (Accent Color):

Row 1: Ch 1. Sc in the next 16 stitches.

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 12 stitches. Sc2tog. (14)

Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 10 stitches. Sc2tog. (12)

Row 4: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 8 stitches. Sc2tog. (10)

Row 5: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 6 stitches. Sc2tog. (8)

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc2tog. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Sc2tog. (6)

Row 7: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 4 stitches. 2 Sc. (8)

Row 8: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 6 stitches. 2 Sc. (10)

Row 9: Ch 1. 2 Sc. Sc in the next 8 stitches. 2 Sc. (12)

Finish off leaving semi-long tail. (This tail will be used to sew half of the heel closed)

Body (Main Color)

Round 21 – 33: Ch 2. *Dc in the next stitch. Dc3tog around the post of the Dc. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (24 dc, 24 dc3tog stitches) 

Cuff: (Accent Color) 

Round 34 -40: Ch 1. Hdc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. 

Finish off. Weave in ends. Sew heel closed.
