Chunky Buttoned Slippers Crochet Pattern

Super Bulky Yarn

N/M 9.00mm Crochet Hook

Women’s Sizes 5-7 (7.5-9, 9.5-10.5)

Difficulty:

Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three stitches.

FPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the front to back and around stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

BPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the stitch fron back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Sc2Tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

HDC2TOG: Half double crochet 2 Together- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Dc3Tog: Double crochet 3 together- *Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull Through Two loops.* Repeat from * to * a total of three times. Yarn over pull through all loops on the hook.

Instructions:

Make 2

Ch 15 (17, 19)

Round 1: In 3 Ch from the hook make 2Dc in the same stitch. Dc to the end until 1 Ch remains. In the last Ch make 6Dc. Working around on the other side of the chain, Dc until the last Ch. Made 2Dc in the last Ch. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 2: Ch 1. Make 2HDC in each of the next two stitches. Hdc 8 (9,10). Dc 3 (4,5). Make 2Dc in each of the next 6 stitches. Dc 3 (4, 5). HDC 8 (9, 10). 2HDC in each of the last 2 stitches. Join with a SS to the first HDC made.

Round 3: Ch 1. In BLO Sc in each stitch all the way around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 4: Ch 1. Sc all the way around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 5: Ch 1. Sc 12 (14, 16). *Sc2Tog, Sc* Repeat from * to * a total of 6 times. Sc 12 (14, 16). Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 6: Ch 1. Sc 1. Sc2Tog.  Sc 8 (10, 12). *Sc2Tog, Sc* Repeat from * to * a total of 5 times. Sc 7 (9, 11). Sc2Tog. Sc 1. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 7: Ch 1. Sc 1. Sc2Tog. Sc in the next 6 (8, 10) stitches. HDC2TOG. HDC2TOG. DC3TOg. HDC2TOG. HDC2TOG. Sc in the next 6 (8, 10) stitches. Sc2Tog. Sc. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

For size small

Round 8: Chain 1. Sc 9. Dc3tog. Sc 9. Join with a SS to the first stitch made.

Round 9: Ch 2. Hdc in same stitch and each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first stitch made.

For size Medium and Large

Round 8: Ch 1. Sc (11, 13). DC3TOG. Sc (11, 13). Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Finish off.

Right Foot

Join with a SS to the 6 (7, 8)th stitch from the right of the join.

For Small and Medium

Row 1: Chain 1. Sc in same stitch and the next 19 (21, see below)  stitches. (You should have one stitch left unworked)

For Large

Row 1: Chain 1. Sc in the same stitch and the next 19. Sc3tog. Sc in the next 3. (You should have one stitch left unworked.)

Row 2: Chain 5. Hdc in second Chain from hook and in the next 3 chains and each stitch around.

Row 3: Chain 1. Hdc in the next 17 (19, 21). Chain 1. Skip the next stitch. Hdc across.

Row 4: Chain 1. Hdc in each stitch and chain stitch around.

Finish off.

Left Foot

Join with a SS to the 6 (7, 8)th stitch from the left of the join.

*NOTE: This time work counterclockwise!*

For Small and Medium

Row 1: Chain 1. Sc in same stitch and the next 19 (21, see below)  stitches. (You should have one stitch left unworked)

For Large

Row 1: Chain 1. Sc in the same stitch and the next 19. Sc3tog. Sc in the next 3. (You should have one stitch left unworked.)

Row 2: Chain 5. Hdc in second Chain from hook and in the next 3 chains and each stitch around.

Row 3: Chain 1. Hdc in the next 17 (19, 21). Chain 1. Skip the next stitch. Hdc across.

Row 4: Chain 1. Hdc in each stitch and chain stitch around.

Finish off.

Sew on your button and your good to go!
