Worsted Weight Yarn (Vanna’s Choice 80 yards)

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook

Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Cluster: Cluster- *Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over through two stitches.* Repeat from * to * until there are 4 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops.

Instructions:

Make 2

Chain 10.

Row 1: Sc in the second chain from hook and in each chain across. (9 Sc)

Row 2 – 26: Sc in the BLO. (9)

Connect row 26 to row 1 by folding piece in half and joining with a series of SSs.

Round 1: Chain 1. *Sc in the side of the next row. Chain 1. Skip the side of the next row.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (13 Sc + 13 Chain 1 spaces.)

Round 2: SS into the next chain 1 space. Chain 2. *Cluster in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first cluster made. (13 Clusters + 13 Chain 1 spaces)

Round 3: SS into the next chain 1 space. Chain 1. *Sc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (13 Sc + 13 Chain 1 spaces.)

Round 4 – 8: Repeat round 2 – 3 ending in round 2.

Round 9: SS into the next chain 1 space. Chain 1. (Sc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.) x’s 4. Sc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 4. Skip the next 5 stitches. (Sc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.) x’s 6. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 10: SS into the next chain 1 space. Chain 2. (Cluster in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.) x’s 4. (Cluster. Chain 1.) x’s 2 in the next chain 4 space. (Cluster in the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.) x’s 6. Join with a SS to the first Cluster made. (12 Clusters + 12 Chain 1 spaces)

Round 11: Repeat round 3. (12Sc + 12 Chain 1 spaces.)

Round 12 – 13: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (24)

Finish off. Weave in ends.
