I 5.50mm Crochet Hook

Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three stitches.

BPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the stitch fron back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Tr: Treble- Yarn over 2 times. Insert hook around the stitch front back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches:

Drop Dc (Drop Double Crochet): Yarn over. Insert hook into skipped stitch from previous round. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Cluster: Cluster- *Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over through two stitches.* Repeat from * to * until there are 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.

Notes:

  • Turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. And when working in the round, be sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as join.
  • For SOME round you will turn other rounds you will not! Pay CLOSE attention.
  • All images shown are taking to show the RIGHT SIDE of your work.

Round 2: Chain 1. *2Hdc in the next Cluster. 2Hdc in the next chain 2 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (28)

Round 3: Chain 1. *Sc. Chain 2. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 4: Chain 2. *4Dc in the next Sc. Chain 1.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (14 4Dc shells)

Round 5: Chain 2. *Dc4Tog. Chain 5. Skip the next chain 1 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 6: Chain 1. *Sc in the next stitch. 4 Drop Dc in the chain 1 space from previous round.*  Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.
