Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn

  • Red
  • Black
  • White
  • Yellow/Gold

G 4.25mm Crochet Hook

Yarn Needle

Polyfil Stuffing

Stitches:

SS: (Slip Stitch) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Ch: (Chain) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Sc: (Single Crochet) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Special Stitches:

Sc2Tog: Single Crochet 2 Together- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Notes:

  • This pattern is made working in rounds. Don’t forget to work in the same stitch as slip stitch to start each round.

Starting with White

Magic Ring

Round 1: Chain 1. 10Sc in the ring. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (10 Sc)

Round 2: Chain 1. Sc around in the BLO. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (10 Sc)

Round 3: Chain 1. Sc around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Color Change: Red

Round 4: Chain 1. 2Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (20 Sc)

Round 5: Chain 1. *2Sc. Sc in the next stitch.* repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (30 Sc)

Round 6: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (30 Sc)

Round 7: Chain 1. *2Sc. Sc in the next  2 stitches.* repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (40 Sc)

Round 8 – 9: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (40 Sc)

Color Change: Black

Round 10 – 13: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (40 Sc)

Color Change: Red

Round 14 – 15: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (40 Sc)

Round 16: Chain 1. *Sc in the next 2 stitches. Sc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to first Sc made. (30 Sc)

Round 17: Chain 1. Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (30 Sc)

Round 18: Chain 1. *Sc in the next stitch. Sc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (20 Sc)

Sew on buckle. Stuff with polyfil stuffing.

Round 19: Chain 1. *Sc in the next 2 stitches. Sc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (15 Sc)

Round 20: Chain 1. *Sc in the next stitch. Sc2tog.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (10 Sc)

Round 21: Chain 1. Sc2tog around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (5 Sc)

Finish off. Weave in ends.

Buckle:

Using Yellow/Gold:

Chain 24. Join with a SS to form a ring.

Round 1: Chain 1. *Sc in the next 2 stitches. 3Sc in the next stitch. Sc in the next 2 stitches. 3Sc in the next stitch. Sc in the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Finish off leaving a long tail.
